About Mesha:
Mesha holds a BA in Communications and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with 25+ years of internal and external consulting experience within the HR and DEI disciplines. Mesha has been coined as a DEI/HR professional with a passion for driving change and promoting organizational excellence. Her expertise is in the area of organizational effectiveness and workforce engagement with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. As a seasoned DEI/HR subject matter expert she has spent a substantial amount of time focused on diversity strategy, diversity planning and programming, counseling leadership to ensure DEI is infused in all business practices. Mesha hails as a DEI thought leader called to serve as a keynote, panelist and facilitator of multiple DEI focused topics. She is also known as a subject matter expert on Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). To that end, she co-authored an ERG book/guide providing guidance to ERG leadership. In an effort to advance and give voice to the practice of DEI, Mesha developed the Annual Central Virginia Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast bringing in Diversity Thought Leaders from across the nation. 

Aside from her work in the DEI/HR space, Mesha is passionate about shaping the future generation of business leaders. As such, she served as the Chair of the Leaders of Tomorrow Program exposing high school students to several aspects of business, INROADS and Girl Scouts. As a true proponent of business success, she is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond. She also served on the Board of the Sydney Lewis School of Business at Virginia Union University helping to provide vision for advancing future business leaders. For over nine years, she continued her dedication to building future leaders as a professor in the Virginia College system. Most importantly, she is excited about what the future holds as she watches the next generation blossom. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be grooming her daughter Nya Elise Mott for the greatness she is destined to achieve.
